Heather Kristensen is the principal for Sonoma County Virtual Academy. Heather taught Social Sciences and English in Sonoma County for thirteen years, and she served as an Advisor and English teacher for six years at North Bay Met Academy prior to becoming an administrator. She has her Bachelor of Arts in Global Studies and a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership. She is a firm believer in providing alternative opportunities to students. When she is not at school, Heather enjoys hiking, camping, and going to baseball games. She is an avid reader of historical fiction, and also enjoys bird watching and pollinator-friendly gardening.

 

Diana Rudesill is the academic counselor for Sonoma County Virtual Academy with over 30 years of experience in education.  Diana is dedicated to providing social, emotional and mental support for all of her students and strives to create a culture of kindness, creativity and connection within our virtual community.

Dana Jones has been in the Windsor Unified School District since 2003.

 

Jeremiah Kahmoson,SoCoVA’s Education Specialist, has been a champion of Alternative Education in WUSD since 2010.

Amy Whiteley is a supervising teacher for Sonoma County Virtual Academy.  Amy has been in education for almost 30 years and has a Bachelor's of Science in Biology and a Master's of Art in Teaching. Amy has taught both life and physical sciences, and health, in addition to focusing on student Leadership and Activities.  Amy loves to travel, leading student trips abroad, and is a champion for student growth and engagement both in and out of the classroom.

Nadine has been working in Windsor since 2015. She moved to California in 2006 to begin a life here, but she began her teaching career back in the 1900's in a small town in North Carolina.  Nadine is a graduate of UNC Chapel Hill and is a diehard Tarheel. She is a teacher of Math, English and Spanish. When she is not working, Nadine enjoys going to the beach, camping, and spending quality time with her husband, two daughters, and her Whippet, Birdie.
